Terms of Service

These terms are the agreement between you and Levolve (“we”, “us”) for using the Levolve game on the web and on Android. By creating an account or using Levolve, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use Levolve.

1. The service

Levolve suggests real-world experiences (“quests”). When you complete one, you mark it done in the game and earn a Life Card, XP and progress. Levolve is free to use. We may add, change or remove features, quests and content at any time.

2. Who can use Levolve

You must be at least 18 years old and able to agree to these terms. The app asks you to confirm this when you set up your account, and by using Levolve you confirm that you are.

3. Your account

  • Give accurate sign-in details and keep your password safe. You are responsible for what happens in your account.
  • One account per person. Do not share, sell or transfer your account.
  • Your @handle and display name must follow the Community Guidelines. We may change a name that breaks them.

4. Real-world safety

Quests are suggestions, not instructions. You alone decide whether, when and how to do a quest, and you are responsible for your own safety and for following local laws, rules and customs.

  • Check conditions, opening times, permits, weather and your own health and ability before you go.
  • Never trespass, never put yourself or others in danger, and respect wildlife, sacred places and local people.
  • Information about places, prices, times and difficulty may be incomplete or out of date. Always check with official sources.
  • Do not use Levolve while driving or in any situation where it would distract you from staying safe.

5. Playing fair

Levolve works on trust: you mark quests complete yourself. Please mark only what you really did. To keep the leaderboards fair, you can complete up to 10 quests a day. We may remove XP, cards, titles or leaderboard places gained unfairly, for example through false completions, multiple accounts or tampering with the app, and we may suspend accounts that do this.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • break the law or help anyone else break it;
  • harass, threaten, impersonate or harm other people;
  • post anything the Community Guidelines forbid;
  • attack, overload, scrape or reverse-engineer the service, or access data or accounts that are not yours;
  • use Levolve to advertise or send spam.

7. Your public profile

Your handle, display name, level, rank, titles, class levels and completed quests are public, as the Privacy Policy explains; a card for a quest tied to a place appears to others 24 hours after you earn it. Anyone can view them, and you can share your cards with links.

8. Quests and other content you submit

  • You keep any rights you have in quests, names and feedback you submit.
  • You give us a worldwide, free, non-exclusive, lasting licence to use, show, edit, adapt, translate and publish what you submit, as part of Levolve and in promoting it. We do this so we can review your quest, improve it and show it to other players.
  • If we publish a quest you submitted, we show “Discovered by @handle” with it. If you delete your account, the quest stays without your name.
  • You confirm that you have the right to submit it and that it follows the Community Guidelines. We may decline, edit or remove any submission.

9. Our content

Levolve, its name, design, card artwork, sounds, software and quest catalogue belong to us or to those who licensed them to us. You may use them only to play the game and to share your cards and profile. You may not copy, sell or reuse them otherwise.

10. Purchases

There are no purchases in Levolve today. If we add optional cosmetic items later, our Refund Policy and the terms shown at the time of purchase will apply. XP, ranks and cards will never be for sale.

11. Other services

Levolve uses services run by others, such as maps and “Continue with Google”, and may link to websites we do not control. Their own terms apply to them, and we are not responsible for them.

12. Ending your use

You can stop using Levolve and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or if we must by law. We may also stop offering Levolve; if we do, we will try to give notice in advance.

13. No guarantees

We work hard to keep Levolve running and accurate, but we provide it “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we give no promise that it will always be available, free of errors, or that any quest is suitable or safe for you.

14. Limits on our liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any injury, loss or damage that comes from doing a quest or from travelling to a place, since those are your own choices. Because Levolve is free, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to one thousand Indian rupees (₹1,000). Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will change the date below, and if a change is significant we will make it visible in the app before it applies. If you keep using Levolve after that, you accept the new terms.

16. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Please contact us first, so we can try to solve any problem together. If we cannot, the courts of India have jurisdiction. If you live in a country whose laws give you rights that cannot be taken away by a contract, you keep those rights.
